Services for MenNeoGraft Hair Restoration Traditionally, hair restoration has been achieved by one of two methods: the “strip” method or manual FUE. In the strip method a strip of hair at the back of the scalp is grafted, then meticulously divided up into units of one to four hairs. The individual units of hair are then reattached to the balding areas of the scalp. While this method can be done more quickly, it typically leaves a visible linear scar at the grafting site. The other method, FUE, is a direct removal of follicles from the donor area using a tiny 1 mm punch and forceps. The punch makes a small circular incision around the hair follicles which is then removed from the scalp and grafted into smaller units and implanted similarly to the strip method. While eliminating the visible scarring, manual FUE is costly, time consuming, and associated with high risk of damage to the hair follicles from the use of forceps. With the NeoGraft Hair Transplant machine our medical team is able to quickly and efficiently provide a “no touch” FUE transplant. NeoGraft uses pneumatic pressure to extract and implant the follicles, eliminating the need for handling the grafts with forceps thereby reducing the risk of damage. The automated process makes the procedure time and cost effective. NeoGraft is the first and only FDA approved automated medical device for hair restoration. The procedure is performed with local anesthetic and no intravenous or intra-muscular sedation is required. The benefits of the FUE method include:
